This day trip will go to two caves. Croker Hill and Frustration Pit are less than 100 feet from each other, but they have a completely different feel. Both are horizontal caves and suitable for beginners. They are located near Shippensburg, PA, about 2 hours from DC
Croker Hill is a horizontal cave with one room and multiple passages branching from it. One area of the cave is very decorated.
Frustration Pit has a long narrow entrance that is an experience for a new caver. It’s kind of a trust exercise and you will need to trust your trip leader.
