The West Virginia Association for Cave Studies (WVACS) is holding its annual “WVACS Classic” event from June 12-14 at the WVACS fieldstation near. It features a number of caving trips of varying difficulty and skill level, and usually has classes in cave surveying and vertical techniques, and meals. The WVACS fieldstation is located about 4.5 hours from the DC Beltway and has buildings with bunks, showers, a kitchen, and a meeting room.
