Hamilton Cave is a horizontal maze cave with some interesting features. This trip is suitable for beginners. This is a weekend trip; the cave is 3 hours from DC (without traffic). You will stay at the Germany Valley Fieldhouse. The cost is $5 a night and the house has heat, a kitchen, Wi-Fi, and a bucket flush toilet. There will be carpools to the cave and fieldhouse. There is no potable water at the fieldhouse so bring your own. There is a convenient restaurant and and others in Franklin. Grotto loaner gear will be available.
